Tamiya TOP FORCE !!! FEEL THE FORCE !!!

Hi all,

I have purchased a Tamiya Top Force off a fellow Oopler. It came and was in near mint condition.

It came with a few spares new, spares used, full carbon kit new, blue king pins, new original body, undertray, wing and sticker sheet.

I have ordered a few BLING STING parts for it and fingers crossed should be here this week. Once they are fitted I will post pictures of the Top Force.

I have spent most of today spraying the shell, wing, undertray and adding the stickers. Took Gainsys advice from a previous post. Sent the Mrs out shopping today so I could instantly get in the garage as it was Mothers Day. YEAH BABY !!!

This is going to be my runner for the Iconic..........

Here are some pictures of the finished body etc.....

I'm in Top Force mode at the moment too. I picked up a good condition Top Force on Fleabay which is getting cleaned up. I also picked up a cheap Manta Ray with a load of Top Force option bits mixed and matched into it.

I am in the middle of creating a home cut C/F chassis to take a shorty lipo across it + a matching home cut C/F top deck. I was thinking about using the Manta Ray bits to build on to this chassis as a vintage RC runner.

The original Top Force will get used but less abused!

I'll post some pics when I get the work done.

That looks fantastic

Problem is its sooo clean I couldn't bring myself to run it at the Revival... or anywhere for that matter (maybe on carpet... indoors... with no other cars... & with a track laid out with pillows!)

Up-date !!

No pictures at the min, but will be over the weekend.

I have started to fit the electrics. Motor, servo and receiver. Also fitted is the undertray.

Once I fitted this I did not like the blue alloy against the green. So, I removed the blue anodizing. Its all silver now and I think its a lot better. This is whats taken the time and put me back a little.

Just the speedo to fit and wire, then already for testing.

xfactor 19-03-2016 07:09 PM

Another set back.

So went to finish the force today and fit wire the speedo.

I could not fit the speedo on the chassis with a full size servo.... So I have removed the undertray and servo, and have now ordered I low profile servo.

So back to how I was Thursday night ......:lol: I probably shouldn't say this, but hope to get it finished this week as the plan is to give it a run out at Broxtowes last snowman meet.

Fingers crossed........

Very nice. You're entered for the Revival?

There is an Iconic RC open track meet at Broxtowe on Sunday April 10th if you wanted to give it a test run.
