what turn motor for novice child
 
Got a 22 2.0 my lads haven't driven on a track before so wondering what slowish motor to get, cheapo from hobbyking I reckon

if you just want a cheapie then the ezrun motors and speed controls work well, they can be pretty quick if geared right, and as they have a little less torque they dont kick the car out so much. you would need to be able to turn down the end points on the tx to control speeds a bit though. i started my two out with old 27T brushed stock motors as i had some kicking around, geared them low to start with and geared up a couple of times

I used the x-star stuff from hobbyking going for my little ones with 17.5 motors. Initially I used prog card to run esc at 30% max speed with low initial pull away. Now up to approx 70%
