MODS: site outages?

Hoping I'm not the only one to have experienced a few site outages in recent days/week?

I've had a couple of error messages that are clearly from the host server though must apologise as didn't screenshot them...

Also sometimes just site times out before it loads, 'server stopped responding'

Sorry can't be more help, mostly on my iPhone I've had the issue.

I have had same service or internal server issue for hours:thumbdown:

We've all been having the same issues and I know Vicky and the admin team are working trying to resolve the issues we've all been having.
It's no more annoying to you as it is to us, we all come here for the same thing.

bit of a poor show to give it thumbs down, since the sad loss of jimmy the oople team have been busy keeping this site up for us all, they prob wont mind me saying this, but they are not as "techno" as jimmy was.

Thanks Mark, sadly following Jimmy's passing there is a massive gap in the technical knowledge regarding this site.

Vicky is trying her best but she has a full time job and she is fully aware of the recent difficulties regarding the site not loading.

Fact is Jimmy knew it all backwards and spent most days keeping it running, stopping hackers and adding content, now he's gone there is nobody who can fill his place as it was a fulltime job.

Please bear with us, I know its frustrating when it dosen't work properly and we are in contact with the server provider to see why its happening.

But all this has to be done in between real life and real jobs that put food on the table and pay mortgages.

Anyone who wants to PM me and complain feel free..................

I'm sure I speak for 99% of oOple users. I'm very greatfull that you guys are still running oOple for us to use everyday after jimmys passing, thanks.

Sorry the site has been struggling; many thanks for your efforts on this. I totally appreciate how much work is involved maintaining a site like this - basically mega loads!! :-s

Totally agree with all of the above support.

Just a question, we must have among all of us someone who is technically savy enough to lend a helping hand to Vicky and all involved trying to keep this site the amazing place that Jimmy created the way he created it and to keep it moving onward and upward.

It may not be financially rewarding but im sure all that help keep this site working earn a great place within eveyone that uses the site because RC wouldn't be the same without this place.

Thanks for the replies guys; certainly wasn't a complaint from me, just wanted to flag it and the error codes I'd seen in case was helpful.

As above, hopefully there is someone on here who could offer the time/knowledge to help lighten the load?

Don't know if the guys have moved host or tidied data up but the site is faster now than it has been for ages.
