Esc Problem

Hi,

One of the capacitors and the wire that goes to my receiver has broken off my esc. Can I just solder it back on? Or is there something else I may need to consider. Also where the wire goes out to the battery, on the circuit board it is joined with the solder that goes to one of the capacitors. Do I have to solder the capacitor a certain way round or does it not matter?

Thanks,
Edd

Does nobody know?

Well equipment models and probably pics would help, you don't give much to go on.

Capacitors, try http://www.teamnovak.com/tech_info/h...cap/index.html

and I should think you could solder it all back yourself, worth a look at the other "how to's" on the Novak site.

Edit; Southwell is right, I am assuming the capacitor is outside the esc, but re reading seems mabey you have the case off the esc ?

Sorry, I know I havn't helped you much, my cameras down so I havn't got any pictures. Yes it is outside the ESC, has another capacitor right next to it. I would think I would just be able to solder it in cause people make their own ESC's I just wanted to check with people.

If it's an external board with the cap soldered to it via wires then yes, you can just solder it back on if your careful. Unless it's come apart because it's blown?
