Oooooooooo, nice. Do you just glue them normally? coz there not beadlocks :eh?:

This reminds me... I'm still looking for "set up wheels". With a dish at the outer edge, with a groove and an O-ring. For measuring camber accurately!
Anyone seen anything like this? |
Durability depends purely on what aluminium alloy has been used to make them.
In the late 80s alloy wheels were a popular upgrade, being a lot stiffer than the wheels we were using at the time. Raced for ages using RW Racing alloy wheels back then with no problem, bought some modern copies the other year and destroyed two of them in one race. A silicone adhesive or Shoe Goo will stick the tyres to aluminium no problem if cyano doesn't do the job. |
They look like he's made them himself with a lathe ! Out of billet ? I suppose you could ask him what grade material and look up the yeild strength on the net ! They would be nice if they where strong enough ! I had some proline plastic ones and they were not round when new ! But with them being light the inertia at speed will not be to bad but if they were ally an bent the inertia would be higher and would vibrate the car to bits

oooh they are gorgeous!... with My F1 Mclaren shell they would look the puppies privates... Not sure I would ever want to race with them on though...
|
Yup, they looked so good I had to buy the dish ones, nice!!.
|
you gonna run them?
|
I wudnt, I could imagine them being a nightmare to glue tyres up to then getting very upset after you buckle them  Would be nice for a shelf queen car

Mmmm may run them, depends on how I feel. balancing is not very hard, as long as you have stick on weights. Shoudl be fun, but may just be used as a shelf display.
