2s lipos
Hi lads quick question, I've been buying 2 x 2s lipos ( shorty ) 4600 90c
What's the best amps to charge them on Do I discharge after every heat What do I balance charge them at ( heard a few lads don't both balancing they just charge ) I'm using a lrp touch |
Hi the general rule is 1c so if your battery is 4600 then charge at 4.6 amps, but i charge mine at max 15amps sometimes and no problems.
I always balance at that rate but should be okay if you dont at lower amps, and only discharge if theyre full and you wont be using them for a while. |
Cheers so I'm I right in saying then, when I plug the leads into the charger I balance charge at (12 amp ) highest my charger goes to

Pesonally I would stick with 1c unless you are in a real hurry. Each battery should have a max. charge rate in the spec. Make sure you check this before giving it crazy amps. Try to keep a healthy lipo regime by charging at 1c and discharging to 3.8v (storage mode) when not in use. This will increase the longevity of your batteries.

chargin lipos
If you want to have a fire charge at 12 amps
if you get caught at a club meeting charging at 12 amps you will generally find you will be kicked out of the club which has happened this year to someone charging lipos at a club over the safe limit a smart person would check the instructions to see what the max charge rate for your packs is as someone has already said 4.6amp for your packs |
Well seeing as mine are rated to 10c I'll charge at 40 odd amps
Never had a problem and same with my plane batteries. |
