My WCS Runner

So this was in the garage and I thought i better start on it

http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pszkvqckgd.jpg

I've been collecting parts for this for over a year and I'm just waiting on a couple of parts to finish it off.

New alloy motormount with belt tensioner
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psqim1e6cf.jpg

New TCS

http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psbses1jqe.jpg
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pszbcvbbit.jpg

Building from a stack of parts and another car takes so much longer but I think is more satisfying I think
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psb7g9eneb.jpg

Gonna use the ballraced steering I got a while ago on this I just need to de anodise it I think to go with the mount.

http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psjglpt0zu.jpg
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pstxkfmib4.jpg
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psibsptam6.jpg
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psqx8yqbpq.jpg

Rear shock tower support added with a mod stole from Mr Wooster (great idea as always Dan)
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3dboekpq.jpg
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psbztcuwek.jpg

So that's as far as I can go till the rest of my bits show up and I can't wait to get it finished and on the track.

Progress has been a little on the slow side but it's now taking shape, I wasn't liking the colour of the steering so that was first.

It's great what a bit of oven cleaner can do

http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psqsvv9ttj.jpg
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pskxfvidbm.jpg

So now it's starting to come together

So after getting my parts from Fiberlitye I could carry on there a great match over the originals

http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psemcjjxdu.jpg

These are the FL front towers that until they arrived I didn't notice they were wrong, but luckily I had a couple of spares.

Now coming to get her nicely

http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8wmc8ybv.jpg
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8wmc8ybv.jpg

Now I found my turnbuckles I can finish it off

I saw a guy in the US do this to a high downforce AE wing so I thought I would have a go, it's not the best but for a first attempt I'm more than happy.

So yesterday saw the IconicRc meet at Broxtowe MCC great turnout and I managed to get some time with the WCS on track.

When the track dried out fulley it had so much grip I think I need some mini spikes on it rather than pins. But all in all its a great car to drive and I can't wait to get it back out.

daz75 11-04-2016 10:44 AM
