My WCS Runner
So this was in the garage and I thought i better start on it
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pszkvqckgd.jpg I've been collecting parts for this for over a year and I'm just waiting on a couple of parts to finish it off. New alloy motormount with belt tensioner http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psqim1e6cf.jpg New TCS http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2ygfchvw.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psbses1jqe.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pszbcvbbit.jpg Building from a stack of parts and another car takes so much longer but I think is more satisfying I think http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psb7g9eneb.jpg Gonna use the ballraced steering I got a while ago on this I just need to de anodise it I think to go with the mount. http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psdu8u9oel.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psjglpt0zu.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pstxkfmib4.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psibsptam6.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psqx8yqbpq.jpg Rear shock tower support added with a mod stole from Mr Wooster (great idea as always Dan) http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3dboekpq.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psbztcuwek.jpg So that's as far as I can go till the rest of my bits show up and I can't wait to get it finished and on the track. |
Progress has been a little on the slow side but it's now taking shape, I wasn't liking the colour of the steering so that was first.
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pskaftgqk3.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psgclytqbe.jpg It's great what a bit of oven cleaner can do http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psqsvv9ttj.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pskxfvidbm.jpg So now it's starting to come together http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psdw45mdin.jpg |
So after getting my parts from Fiberlitye I could carry on there a great match over the originals
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psbfsqtne9.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psemcjjxdu.jpg These are the FL front towers that until they arrived I didn't notice they were wrong, but luckily I had a couple of spares. http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pslpcdgljm.jpg Now coming to get her nicely http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pszicmpfsa.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psaww1xxlj.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psjmdd6vyc.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pssqcrk5e4.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8wmc8ybv.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8wmc8ybv.jpg Now I found my turnbuckles I can finish it off http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6eblbht1.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7c8bfpxt.jpg |

http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3l2ayqcq.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psrrub9oz2.jpg There's still a little to finish off but I'm hoping to have it running soon  |

I think I've settled on the wheels, well until I find some pink ribbed rear wheels if anyone's got some spare? Body trimmed and just sat till I get an undertray, What do you think? http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pslus3dhxf.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0f4fiipi.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pszbh9ivty.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psmtsdboh5.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psrsdozpip.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psac5edpab.jpg Just got to sort a wing out and waiting for some electrics for it:D |

|
Thanks Dan, yeah I can't wait to get it running

I saw a guy in the US do this to a high downforce AE wing so I thought I would have a go, it's not the best but for a first attempt I'm more than happy.
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psycofrdow.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psljilivxk.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psgofpui1i.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5cvxdgj2.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pstjjy7egt.jpg |
This has been a bit of a PITA to wire up but I think I've got it sorted now.
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pszlnoh0sk.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psz0sbtl9c.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1ssygows.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pspncmgghk.jpg |
So yesterday saw the IconicRc meet at Broxtowe MCC great turnout and I managed to get some time with the WCS on track.
http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7zcwtqya.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psfg9dr6w9.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...pssvwiy82s.jpg http://i1345.photobucket.com/albums/...psxxrcukri.jpg When the track dried out fulley it had so much grip I think I need some mini spikes on it rather than pins. But all in all its a great car to drive and I can't wait to get it back out. |
Nice air
