Painting with water based paints in the winter?

Should I warm the paints?
Should I paint in a warm environment? Heat up the garage? Is it too messy to do in the kitchen?

I paint in a 10x8 Shed and just use a small fan heater to warm it when needed.
I normally put the heater on
Make coffeee have a smoke
back to a warmer shed
prep the shell etc, by which time the shed is sufficiently warm to paint.
I do tend to leave the heating on for a n hour or so after I have finished painting

I also keep my paints in the house (protection from frost)

I've never painted with anything other than waterbased so can't compare with anything else .. but I'd say you would be better off in a warmer place.

Flo particularly tends to run really easily, I can only imagine that would be even more trickey in the cold ..

Don't think I'd do it in the kitchen tho ... the over spray wouldn't make me very popular with the Missus !!!
