Speed controller wire grade

Hello
As space is a little tight on the YZ2 has anyone tried using a thinner grade of wire instead of the 12 grade as fitted to the Orion R10.
Thanks
Neale

I use 13 gauge OK, but have also used 14 gauge without issues. The late Derek Bradby told me not to use 12 gauge and to use 14 instead. Said it was a tip from Mike Reedy to make a car less aggressive. So basically 14gauge has a little higher resistance but it helps calm a car down.
Actually I checked, used 14 on my yz2 and 13 on my yz4.

I'm using 14 with no issues on a couple of 2WDs, tried it on a 4WD with space issues (DEX410) it didn't last!

Hello
Thank you guys, I will give the 14 gauge a try on the speed controller to motor, and keep the 12 gauge on the battery to speed controller.
