You run any weight in the middle like the worlds setup Kev?

Toyed with the idea of running saddles in it. Might help it on slippery surfaces.

Lipo forward worked good for me, the rear of the buggy was totally locked in, pretty happy with that, just need to work on making the front a bit more aggressive.

Where are you on your carbon steering link? the longest link will give more steering lock if that's what you are lacking?

Ran the PR for the first time tonight using kevs setup as a start. I ran yatabe rather than aesprings and no weight but everything else was the same.
A very easy car to drive. I had 5 minutes practise and put it 8th out of 40 after round 1 which for me is good run.
Ended up b1 and finished 1st which considering it was the first time out was pretty good.
A really good car to drive. Very consistent....I think I only crashed 3 times all night. On the pace of other cars whom I have been way off pace of recently.
Thanks to kev and puppy for the support.

it did look good, told you it would be a good choice

get some weight in it and you'll find it settles the car and will be able to push it harder

I find running saddles in mine settles the car, especially over bumps, no need for extra weight to be added.

I suggested saddles to Kev, he mentioned that with the shorty and a bit more weight it settles it down but still gives you the option to move weight about.

Ran at Silverstone again last night. The only change I made was the gearbox stiffener and 50g of weight under lipo.
A mixed night. Only qualified c6 and car felt twitchy. Unfortunately the other thing I'd forgotten id done is tighten the slipper and this completely changed the car.
Adjusted for the final and what a difference. Average lap 20.7 and best 20.2. Really consistent not a single crash. Finished c1.

Hi All,

What's a good starting point for pinion size on a fast astro track?

Standard spur and 6.5r motor.

Thanks in advance.

Martin
