I am please to confirm that the FTX Welsh Micro Grand Prix will be returning on the 7th February 2009 in Cardiff. This year, the Welsh Micro GP will also be the final round of the WRCA Inter Club Championships. Two events for the price of one; in these hard times what could be better.

Classes for 1/10th and 1/18th Buggy of either 2 & 4 wheel drive will be supported. FTX Welsh Micro GP Trophies will be presented to the first 3 in each class along with the WRCA presentation for the Inter Club Championship.

We are also pleased to confirm that CML Distribution will also be supporting the event again this year in the form of prizes for the Raffle. The Club would like to thank Hywel and Jason for their continued support for the Club.

The entry form and class rules are available from “Club Info” on the club website

COBRA Website

Event rules will follow the WRCA Inter Club Rules for 1/18th, with the 1/10th generally following the BRCA including any “hard case” 7.4 volt Lipo.

All BRCA members are welcome

Hi All,

Entries are now being received for the FTX Welsh Micro Grand Prix (don't be confused by the name 1/10th Buggies are also welcome).

The Event will also bring to a conclusion the first WRCA Micro / Buggy Inter Club which has included meetings at COBRA, Hereford, Caldicot and Swansea.

Please get your entries in early if you intend to run, this will help the organisers get the day underway on time but mainly to ensure "Vanessa's Cafe" has enough bacon rolls to go round.

All the best and see you on the 8th February at COBRA.

Track now released and entry list updated.

Track and Entry Available HERE

Note to all runners

Following comments we have revised the track now covering 25mtr * 16mtre, maximising the width and repositioned features to encourage all classes to race against clock and each other and not just the track features.

Why not take a look and you may think it's worth an entry.

All the best

Roy

Thanks to Roy and his team for a smoothly and efficiently run meeting, and for getting all the trophies out by just gone 5. This meant we got home at a reasonable hour, and time to put the feet up.

Sorry to see that most had left, but I think this was partly to due with the possibility of snow/bad weather, which didn't seem to come in the end.

Track was very open which meant the racing was clean, and not an obstacle course (which was nice for a change). I think some other surface changes would have been good e.g Lino, more polish etc etc (just a suggestion).

Thanks
Hope to do it next year.

Mark

Was a really good day, a good open track was just the ticket for the season finalle. Allowed for some great racing. The 4wd A there was never more than 2 corners seperating 1st and 2nd from start to finish, awesome!
