Help please

Hi
Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I thought I might get more help here.

I'm having problems with my exhaust header/manifold spring cutting through the header on my Traxxas revo. I thought it had just worn throught the first time as the pipe is quite old, so I put the spring in the other hole and it done it again within two tanks. Why is this happening?
Thanks for your help

Don't know the factual answer but a washer on the outside of the header would be nice and would probably stop it cutting through when it gets hot.

Guessing you'll get more answers soon

I did think about that, but was wondering should I drill a hole In the header or get something better?
Has this happened due to a crap header or has the aluminium got too hot and softened due to running the engine too lean?

Hi Mate

Now I have never ever seen one do that in all my years of rallyx. What make is the manifold it must be made of butter:woot:

I used to run 2x springs on mine as it was more common for a spring to break than for that to happen:confused:

Hi mate

It's a THS tuned pipe design for the revo and is almost impossible to get replacement parts now. I'll try drilling another hole and fit a washer on the spring.

Also I've bought a new bearing set as the front bearing was leaking, but the new bearings have seals in both sides and are full of grease. Should I remove all but the front seal on the front bearing like the originals and clean out the grease or fit them as they are?

Thanks
