Shorty Lipo Touring Car

Bought a second hand Xray T4 '13, got several shorty lipo's sitting around from off road, I know I will have to add some weight to balance but how do you secure a shorty on chassis? Do you have to drill more holes?

Ruff! I know but I used a block of wood, in front/behind a shorty once to see what the reduction in weight would do for handling on a slippy track it worked ok but think it would be better drilled so you have an option for ESC position.

I have re-drilled about three chassis with the battery forward then put the esc behind the battery on velcro so you can get at the pinion if needed. This helps to balance the car.

shorty

What I did was hot glue an old sub c cell to the end of the shortie no need to add weight. I was the same only had shorties to use. Easily pull off the sub c cell when you need shorties back.
