Another newbie question on wire gauge
 

Hi all.

I've got some 16gauge silicone but would it be ok for running a 7.5 turn brushless motor? ! I've got an LRP spin ESC but the cables aren't long enough to reach the motor.

I don't want to blow anything up !

I'm googling wire gauge capacities but it doesn't make much sense !

I run 12awg with a 7.5, you could run 14awg but 12 is best, I run 14 in my 1s gt12

16 is a bit light, I would use at least 14, 13 if you can find a small flexible one like TQ or Reedy.
13/14 is enough, can smooth power delivery a bit and is easy to solder properly for a clean install (12 is not so flexible and rather big so you can't bend it as much if needed)
