Brass LiPo Weights. B44, BX etc.

I am selling brass weights to fit in the chasis cell cut outs. I found they worked realy well and a few people asked about them so I decided to make some more.

They help return balance to the car if you fit LiPo's.

Stuck to the LiPo they help hold them in place.

They position the weight in the same place as the NiMh cells and as low as possible.

The weights are approx 12g each, fitting 6 adds 72g. This put my BX just upto BRCA minimum weight. If you want more weight, the same weights can be placed under the belt / drive shaft.

I have made these for my own Yokomo BX and a B44 with very good feedback.

To get a perfect fit they are a different size for BX or B44. If you want to fit them in another chasis then I can check for fit / make them to fit if you can supply dimensions.

Cost for 6 is £10 including P&P to UK

Can supply at Bury indoor for £8

(If I can cover costs then I will donate part of profits to the forum for placing the ad.)

dude they look awesome!!!

Can you make them for an x6?

Spencer Mulcahy 27-12-2008 09:47 PM

I would be interested in these Yokomo B max. The dimentions are 11mm X 47mm measured from the bottom there is a champher (?spelling) at the top. What would you use to stick the weights to the cells so they dont damage the cells.

Should be no problem if you can give dimensions.

Should be ok, would weigh ~50g if that is still enough.

I stick the weights to the cell with good servo tape. They could be stuck to the undertray if you wanted to run more than one set of cells / didnt want them to help hold the cells in place.

Pic of weights stuck to cells (these were prototypes not made from brass).

Cheers for the reply I dont think the weight will be enought, the cell slots do look small.

Hi Pascal, the solid brass ones for sale are 2mm thick (B44 chasis is 2.5mm thick) 17mm x 46.5mm.

The second picture of prototypes are 2.5mm thick in the BX ( BX chasis is 3mm thick) and made from tungsten copper alloy. These are fantastic but would be far too expensive to produce unfortunately !

Total to France would be £11.

Phil: What you should be saying is, "get an X-5 conversion Jamie, stick pack will go straight in" ;)
