Cleaning transmitter
I have just picked up a rather grubby sanwa transmitter. Any tips on what to clean it with ?
Thanks |
You could try electrical contact cleaner. That way if you do get any in the transmitter it wont damage it.

Thanks, could that damage the plastic or make it brittle.

Any cleaning spray I would test on a small area first. The back of the battery cover would be good.
For around the sticks etc I wouldn't spray anything I would use blue tac or this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/23158...s=true&ff13=80 |

I'd use baby wipes. There's not much that they don't remove

I'd use a clean paint brush to remove any loose dust etc. Then as above, use a baby wipe..

+1 for the baby wipes. Plastics are of varying types on Tx's and could easily get damaged by any solvent. Also, use baby wipes at the meeting before you use the Tx to remove grease and stuff from your hands. It keep the Tx cleaner as well as providing a good grip when racing! HTH :)
