Feiyue FY-03 Desert Eagle Rock Racer
Taking a look at the Feiyue-03 Desert Eagle 3 1/12th 4wd Rock Racing Buggy. http://www.gearbest.com/rc-cars/pp_2...m_campaign=max I had a chance to get it opened up and get some pictures of this very cool, very scale looking little Desert Buggy. I'll let a few pics do some talking.
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psud62wshd.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psgragn8ct.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psihhtkxh1.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...pswk2sjjqh.jpg As you can see from the pics it is a solid rear axle IFS buggy. Right from the get go I can say that the rear springs are way too stiff. The front shocks feel great. The rear is way over sprung and under damped. I will run it just like it came out of the box and go from there. It has some great looking details. As far as appearances go I really like it already. I hope it runs half as good as it looks. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psekqbnlip.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psxj8mzgph.jpg More eye candy http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...pse6m4vguv.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...pswst3v0c4.jpg It's nice that it uses true beadlock wheels, and not just fakes that look like beadlocks http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psptmexsrl.jpg Also the weight of the battery is placed over the rear axle http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psu45kprga.jpg Some thought went into the transmitter. It was designed to be suited for both right, and left handed use. You can change it by simply pushing in on the wheel to your desired orientation. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps1z63phng.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psrhyecx0t.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psmnlbl34l.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps7qntj72b.jpg Under the hood you can see the mid motor placement, the adjustable slipper clutch and the inboard front suspension. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...pssrv3ptxw.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps5hodwodk.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psbahxxlmd.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psccqewxu2.jpg Here are a couple size comparison shots, next to my Pro-Line Pro-2 http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psr8ajidmx.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps8ma9yjcn.jpg A neat feature of the ESC/RX unit in these rigs, is that they have sockets for the installation of LED lights. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psxfbf7j0w.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psopuvvcxc.jpg I used these Integy lights that I purchased from Hopmeup on ebay, but most brands have the same control box connector. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psjguoh0me.jpg I also have a set for the buckets on the front bumper. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...pssfzl8our.jpg I will have some running video to share very soon. Just have to finish up the lights. |
Got the lights finished up. Video coming shortly.

How are the tires? Are the wheels for use with 12 mm hexes?
