Hi I don't know if there is a thread on here already, but if you don't know, worksop is starting up again, indoors.

the meetings are
7th jan
11th feb
18th march

Tc's and buggies. It's in the same hall as last time.

Meetings 1 & 2 clash with NE region* meetings, the date for round 3 seems free, the week before the indoor finals.

* not that I'm suggesting this is a northern only forum.

looking at the dates i thought only the 2nd meeting clashed.

the regional in jan is the 21st at york, but feb 11th is teeside and does clash

Jan 7th is the Mike Lenard meeting.

ahhh makes sense now was only lookin at the regionals.

still goin to worksop its only 20 min down the road for me

i just hope they do the name justice thay have a lot to live up to and a lot of the old school drivers are dusting off or borrowing cars for the day

Says on the site that booking forms will be made available. Does this still apply, or can we just turn up on the day?

I think you can turn up on the day, but i'd give them a call first just to make sure.

im considering going.. but to be honest ive no idea what the track is about.. theres no pics as the track is only just re opening also.

the venue is the same as we ran at in the 90's if someone has an old copy of radio race car or racer that has coverage of the regional finals or indoor championships there will be photos. Sadly i chucked all my old magazines a few years ago.

The track itself is a ruberised cork floor (similar to some outdoor running tracks) it has little grip at the start but once the dust has cleared its great.

Tire choice is easy yellow mini pins, spikes could be used but will always be slower

I shall be at this meeting, 4wd for me, cant wait!

Just glueing my tyres on now cant wait not raced for six weeks. First outing for the XX4 as well.:D

Seems Jimmy Maddison will be doing 4wd, either thats a mistake or the onroad boys have all seen the light!!
