Christmas Confusion....
Well Chirstmas is upon us and I'm trying to decide what to treat myself to.
I'm going to sell a lot of my 1/10th stuff and then add some Christmas Cash in to the pot so will hopefully have about £300 to spend. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas? I'm looking for something a bit more rugged (probably bigger) than the 1/10th buggies I'm used to. Something I can bash about with but take to the track for a laugh as well. Something electric and preferably something I can build myself since that's half the fun.... Maybe a Stadium Truck? or a Truggy? Must be a brand with readily available spares. I already have electrics and radio grear, just looking for a fun kit to build over the Christmas break.... And thoughts? Mart |
1/8th Buggy with brushless conversion?
|
If you already have 1/10th off road, then you already have the best buggy for doing this.
There is the 1/8th class electric, and Losi do an almost-RTR which looks fantastic. It isn't cheap, and it isn't recognised as a class yet within the BRCA. Its down to your local 8th club to accept it at there club meeting, or if they allow Nitro only. I have heard a story of a club allowing an electric 8th, which wupped the Nitro's and then the club changed there mind and didn't allow it again. Stick to 10th for the time being. ;) |
Caster electric 8th :D Very good value :D

Good find G! :woot: I like it.
Where sells them? How much? |
Errrr...... available from a good model shop near you!
Er, anyone that deals with Pete from Answer-RC? I know Bolton Model Mart do, not sure who else. It looks strong and well capable to me. Also takes 2 x 10th lipo packs - so no special expensive packs required ;) G |
Yep,
That Caster Racing stuff is really interesting, I expect that given a couple more months they may have the electric truggy out which would be REALLY cool.... Thanks for the info. Mart |
