NewSensored motor install going backwards

A mate has just fitted a sensored brushless motor & ESC to his car & its runs backwards, All the A,B,C's are soldered correctly. I've read enough to know you can't solder these wires any differently. The ESC appears not to have a reverse direction option, these leaves reversing ch2 on the radio. But, wouldn't this mean brake settings will be working when going forwards, full throttle going backwards etc.

Is there another way of getting the motor to run in the correct direction ?

If it's a forward brake speedo then it won't matter what you change on the transmitter the car will go one way and brake. What speedo is it? You might have to plug it in to a pc/box to rotate it the other way, take a pic?

I've actually got the program card for this, but no easy access to his ESC at the moment.

What car is it? Has it been stripped and rebuilt before this install? Could the diffs have been inserted the wrong way round.

If his controller has the option, it might just be that needs reversing.

There is a very good chance this is the cause!

Well he's built a copy of my modded Tamiya Lunchbox from a few years back, I'm not sure you could get the diff in the wrong way round :D

(though maybe i'll just check the manual )
