servo saver
 

Hi guys

anybody having problems with servo's stripping gears on there cat i hav'nt run servo savers for years but the last 3 meetings i've been to i've stripped the gears on two ko 2343 servo's :cry: so think i will be investing in a servo saver :thumbsup:

I use them servos in my cat and i have stripped about 4-5 of the plastic gears......

maybe i carn't but i still beat you :p

i think you should go fix you diff /chassis / transmitter the list goe's on :D:p

I also thought about that and found a Tamiya standart servosaver. It works fine.

Animal. I got mullered over the big jump at NERCR and broke the (KO - yes, the big strong ones) servo horn! :D

You need to get an associated/Ace servo. Ive done at least 5 of them in KO servos and nearly got rid of the car because of it. Its fine for the team drivers saying that there isnt a problem but they simply dont crash as much as us!!
I havent had a pick of bother since fitting my 1015(and there cheap) so i thouroughly reccommend them.

i replaced the ko with a ACE 1015 hopefully that will be strong enough :D


do kimbrough still do servo savers for ko servos ?? or what other makes is there ??

Honest, forget the servo saver idea. I nearly did it although when i put the Ace servo in i didnt need it. My next problem was that the servo loosened off as i hadnt used threadlock with the new servo. Dont forget it. The loose screw then got wedged inside the front diff and wrecked the gear on my brand new 1 way. Sick as a parrott:blush:

Fitted a medium(large fouls chassis) size trickbits servo saver and has enough spring for indoor carpet racing. but prior to fitting it the Sanwa WRX servo fitted was up to a few heavy crashes.
