Core 5000 lipo in CATsx???
Hi guys. Ive been wondering how anyone running these batteries manages to fit the pack in and keep the 'balance' wiring out of harms way of the belt pulleys? Mine are so close it aint funny .

i run them in mine and i put the balance wire in between the belt and top deck! So it is tucked in between the two pulleys at front!

I tape it to the battery :)

But it is tight though isn't it. Im not using the little glue on C/F pieces as I use my batteries for other cars also. I need to work out a way for the pack to not slide around allowing for those wires to come in contact with the pulleys. I have put foam padding on my battery strap already and it holds the pack in nicely but a good shunt could make it shift and begin rubbing the wires without me knowing. This is my only dilemma with this car-

Rather than using glue for the cf peices use double sided tape or velcro, this way it will be less permanent.
The CAT was designed around the Core RC lipo so it is the best fitting lipo on the market. Having said that the later cores have the wires on the oposite side so you can have them at the rear outside of the car. If you have one of the origional cores then yes its tight but as David said you could stick the balance wire down or fix a wire clamp to tuck it away safely for each run :) |
