Kyosho Ultima RB6 2015 kit... Pointless?

Trying to work out what's special about this as the parts to upgrade wouldn't cost a lot.. Or am I missing something?

I am disappointed with this as most people run upgrades I their cars

neallewis 23-05-2015 11:05 AM

Naoto took it to the last EOS, and wasn't that complementary of it on carpet.
Is that their refresh for the worlds, or will something else be run?

woody_woody123 23-05-2015 11:23 AM

never mind the kit itself , the price floored me , 620 quid ...... oh lord o mercey

RogerM 23-05-2015 11:26 AM

Can't say it is pointless really, puts a few of the running changes in the box and means that for most of the world they can now just build the kit and throw it down and be totally competitive.

Remember we are the odd balls racing on the surface we do ...

As for the price expect it to be the same, more or less, as the current RB6 I expect as that was originally suggested as £600 or so .... got to love the exchange rates / taxes.

Maybe pointless for Kyosho owners but for those coming to the RB6 for the first time the "new" kit already includes some of the stuff the Kyosho racers already using.

As for the Worlds stay tuned because there are some new bits coming...3gear transission is on the way

Totally agree think for kyosho owners most run upgrade parts. I was hoping they had something new in the pipe line so am
Little disappointed but think the rb6 is still a very good car

There will be a couple of options to make the car quicker on carpet / very high grip soon ;)

So why aren't they in the box now, given the imminent worlds?

fil9144 24-05-2015 09:01 AM

I bet they have a prototype for the worlds

Mind you the rb6 is still a very good car

Could this be one of the changes to a new kit ?

NitroArgi 27-05-2015 04:54 AM

The coming changes for the Worlds will be mainly for high grip tracks and for the MM configuration. There is slim chance to see the upgrades included in a kit...I quess we will have to buy them seperately

Neil Skull 27-05-2015 12:11 PM

This is a good question,
If you are an RB6 owner, then yes it pointless to buy a new kit unless your old one is worn out.
If you are new to the RB6 you will get the latest wishbones and wings the team are running, plus the Springs in the box are suited to most track conditions running Mid Motor.

Not sure if you are on face book, if so and you don't already have a look at the video Tebo put up running the car I pictured above. It's on carpet and boy is he quick 😆😆

What?? So the 3 gear B5M conversion is not relevant in the uk either??? The 3 gear box gives other advantages which make it relevant for use in high grip situations.
