American Oval Racing

There's a few of us in the East Midland area that have started to run American type Oval racers, not the typical Nascars that would have raced on large ovals but cars that would have raced on the smaller ovals that are similar in size to our oval tracks here in the UK.
At the moment we are running two classes

Legends

I know what you're thinking, Legends race on circuits not ovals and already race over here anyway. Their roots are in American Oval racing and many Nascar stars have learned their trade in Legends. Even in this country Oval Legends are as popular, if not more popular than circuit Legends.

We will be running to start with at the Notts and Derby 1/8th oval track and have a few tester days all set, starting around 11am and finishing around 3pm.

July 26
Aug 23
Sept 20
Oct 25

We'll be at the track at other dates too but check with us before going.

If you don't have your own car we have a couple of spares you can try with

It is hoped that we can get a heat or two racing in the very near future along with the 1/8th Stock car guys

We've had a fair amount of interest in the Legends

The mobile bricks as you put it don't seem to appeal to the great British public like they do the Americans, but we have had some interest. They are definitely fun to drive though, especially when it's windy :)

The Modified's though are part of a bigger picture, there are one or two other body styles available for this class
