Tenth Technology Predator XT customize
I got original Predator XT last year. Her first owner is probably a member of oople.com. My friend in UK who gave her to me, told me that she was a team car.
So I decided to make her to race again. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=6993 New front nose for Predi made with machined MC Nylon. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=6995 Made new parts with CNC, and anodized with gold color similar with original motor mount. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=6996 New battery strap for shorty battery. Made with 3t 3k twill weave carbon plate and 6061 aluminum. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=6997 Aluminum mould for new wing. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=6998 New rear wing after paint and assembled. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=7000 Bottom side of the new wing. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=7001 New front wing after paint. Not assembled perfectly yet in this picture. T.Tech logo is also painted after masking because I don't have decals. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=7002 Left side of this picture is new "Wing mount" made with MC nylon. I made these to protect original parts. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=7003 New steering linkage. Original one is just a 2mm steel rod. This new one is made by 4mm stainless steel. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=7004 New Aluminum front knuckles. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=7005 Fitted perfectly! http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=7006 Chassis complete. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=7007 Inner side. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=7008 New rear wing and mount. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=7009 New front wing and front nose. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=7010 Made a new body. Only one body shell was succeed. Unfortunately body mould was broken. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=7011 New body coloring. I painted it with only two Tamiya PS sprays ( black and gold ) after 4 hours masking. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=7012 This is the final result. Background of this picture is YRC (Yongin Real Circuit) in South Korea. This picture was taken on 25th April 2015, the 'Korea Old buggy championship'. I was promoted to 'A-main' first time by her favor, but the total result is not good. It because my poor driving skill and the original wheels and drive gears were too weaken. I will upgrade her until the next race in September. http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=7013 |
