MAMBA MAX- 'ANY GOOD?'

HI GUYS,
IVE HAD A MAMBA MAX WITH THE 7700 MOTOR SITTING AROUND SINCE I BOUGHT IT AROUND 12 MONTHS AGO. JUST WONDERING IF IT IS RATED AS A GOOD COMPETITION ESC OR DO I NEED TO MOVE IT ON FOR SOMETHING ELSE? THE MOTOR IS A LITTLE TOO MUCH FOR ME AND NOW THAT IM RUNNING LIPO'S ATLEAST IT HAS A 6.0v CUT OFF.
THE UNIT IS STILL NEW AND I HAVE RECENTLY MADE CERTAIN THE SOFTWARE IS UP TO DATE. I LIKE THAT THERE IS A NICE THROTTLE CURV WHICH IS EASY TO MANIPULATE ON MY PC BUT IM NOT SURE ABOUT THE 'SENSORLESS' DESIGN.
IM VERY INTERESTED IN HEARING WHAT PEOPLE MAKE OF THIS UNIT. ALSO I INTEND TO RUN 10.5 TURN MOTORS, WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL WORK WELL WITH THIS UNIT? THANKS IN ADVANCE- JASON.:D

Depends if you want to race or bash. If you want to race then it's not got the control of a sensored system so i'd say get rid. If you just want to muck around then it's ok :)

Careful what sensored motors work on it, i never could get my orions to work but other people have had better look, its fair to say a sensored race system is much more reliable in terms of compatibility.

Thanks Alec,
I already run a GTB with the Lipo cut off but want something with a little more throttle control. What would you recommend and why? Ive been thinking about the Speed Passion units.

mamba

Hi there. I run a mamba max in my pred and its mental. the best brushless to use if you want to go down to 10.5 is mamba's 4600KV.
you can fine tune your mamba on a pc, it makes fine ajustments but they do show if you race. :D
