whats the correct thing to do here? my missus has finely got me a 360 for Christmas(yippee),but the problem lies in the fact shes got me the arcade verison.now im sure its ok but i want the elite.do i smile politely xmas morning and say thankyou or do i tell her now and really upset her but say i`ll pay for an elite???? answers guys....i need answers:thumbsup:

The only difference is the colour and the hard drive really. The elite does come with the HDMI cable but they can be picked up for next to nothing anyway. I shouldn't worry about it mate, it's easy to pick the extra bits up.

Supposedly the Elite has a better cooling system as well, A weak spot for the std models. And the Elite has a lesser chance of suffering from the Ring of Death......
Im sure someone who knows more can confirm though.

Also get Black wireless remote, hdmi lead , black wireless headset and the 120Gb Hd drive.

that is complete rubbish, all models now have the new cooler chips inside, in fact they got them before the Elite (Halo version was first)
The Elite is not worth the extra as it only has 60gb extra space, so unless you plan to use their download films service it really isn't worth it.

Microsoft also offer a cheap upgrade path for arcade owners to get a 20gb hard drive for £20. But to be honest you are probably just better biting the bullet and asking her if you can exchange it for a 60gb model.

some good deals floating around in the xmas run up offering 2 or 3 decent games for barely a tenner on the usual console price.

if you know where it is, and can get the reciept, go back and change it now without her knowing!!
