will be there this week, gina also. think martyn and ellis will be racing too.
On the race and raise day how about separating the classes to 2wd and 4wd 1/10th instead of mixed class

Ashleygibb 25-03-2015 11:40 PM

If we separate the classes then there will be mayhem on a normal club night as people will want to do the same with mixed response, I think it could open up a bag of worms but maybe it's worth a mention this Friday and see what peoples opinions are

Ash, having 2wd separate from 4wd is how it's done in the wrca and brca races. It's not just something the 2wd drivers bang on about on a Friday night.

on friday nights mixed classes make it easier and quicker to sort heats with drivers of similar ability. just thought it would be nice to seperate the classses for a change even if its just for the afternoon session.

Ashleygibb 26-03-2015 01:51 PM

Brian I'm not putting your idea down I'm all open to change in a way im all for separate heats as most damage to cars are between 2wd and 4wd and not objects jumping out at you, my only opinion was would it open a can of worms like it done a few months ago and I realise the wrca and brca run it like that but I don't have any interest in racing properly just enjoying my Friday night hobbie

brian s 26-03-2015 03:48 PM

what can of worms would it open to run seperate classes for one day if there are enough entries in each class?.
mixed classes were brought in on club nights because often in say 4wd there were`nt enough racing that class for a heat of slower/learner drivers and a heat of fast experienced drivers, so they would all be in one heat and then carnage ensued.
mixing the classes enabled balanced heats for the slower and quicker drivers.

If it was a whole days racing then yes, it probably would get split into 2wd/4wd.

It's not a whole days racing, it's an afternoon and a normal club evening.

Besides which the race format for Race n Raise was decided weeks ago and the booking in has already been done!

Which is a good opportunity to remind people that there are only a few spaces left for RACE N RAISE so hurry up and get your entries in !!!

anyway, i`ll pick up the keys and open up
