wasp slipper

Hi,
I have picked up a wasp slipper that I'd like to use on one of my vintage schumachers.
Which spur gears fit these please?
Does anyone have a spare spur or two?
Are the slippers useable for vintage racing?
Thanks

From what I was told the slipper would be ok for mild running say a brushed setup but I've never run one so can't really help on that.
As for Spurs you need the MMS layshaft and an adapter plate

And these Spurs

The Wasp slipper was designed to fit the kit spur gear, so any standard spur gear with a 3/8" hole will fit. I would suggest RW Racing delrin spur gears as the material is stronger than moulded gears.
Don't forget the Wasp slipper isn't a slipper used to limit torque, it's there just to absorb any shock loading on the gears such as when landing from jumps.

BTW Justin the Wasp slipper won't fit the MMS layshaft.

Yes it does. And with a friendly lathe-owner you can make very neat grubscrew/securing pins so there is no risk of chewed nylon:

Both mine fit on MMS layshafts
