Import Duty from Sweden ?

Quick question!

Cheers for help

Shouldn't do, Sweden are members of the EU. It should be no different from Germany, France, etc. I bought from a Swede and it all came through fine with no charges. HTH :)

Just be careful if parcel force get your bits you may get hit for handling fees. Its normally around 8.50 for a kit size box.

Only if the parcel is sent from outside the EU, Sweden is part of the EU so you should be fine. Norway however isn't

You were thoroughly robbed blind then. Sweden is in the EU, there are NO tax/duty related handling fees, no import duty, VAT/MOMs is paid at source (inside the EU remember) so parcel farce aren't involved. Except in putting your parcel behind the hedge to be rained on.

Or your seller didn't pay enough for the postage. Which is pretty much impossible at this end, thanks to the way it's all set up.

I'd like to know exactly what you paid 8.50 for.
(Do you want to buy some magic beans too?)

If you are gullible enough to hand over money without understanding why. You deserve all you get.

Maybe he could have been a little less.....abrupt....but he's not wrong, Parcelforce only charge a handling fee when they also have to collect import or excise duty and/or VAT.

The only time they charge a handling fee for packages from within the EU is high value packages (IE those greater than €1000)

If you were charged a handling fee for something from Sweden it was most likely an error.
