BRCA Insurance

As a BRCA member I race at a non affiliated club and was wondering would I be covered by the insurance if someone was to claim against me for damages?

Your insurance cover would still be there, if it was a claim against you. However if the claim was against the race organisers, they would have to pay up themselves, unless they had taken out a policy to cover any claims. That could amount to a lot of money if the venue burnt down.
There are a lot of un-registered clubs at the moment, perhaps not realising you have to register with the BRCA every year. And its free:o

Not sure how the BRCA would follow up any incidents at a non affiliated club

As long as you have BRCA and the club has there own insurance in place then it should be ok.

Im sure the insurance covers you driving your car at that club. If I remember correctly you are insured where ever you use you car regards public liability. If anything should happen that the BRCA insurance company then deems is the responsibility of the club, or the person running the club thats when the problems start for the club if the insurer has paid out on your policy.

As I understand yes covers you third party pretty much anywhere, but not for example somewhere you shouldn't be - for instance driving up and down a public road, if you hit a pedestrian you would be liable yourself as you shouldn't have been there in the first place.
