Speed Passion V3.0, any good?
 

As title, are these good motors? Looking at getting an 8.5T for the regionals this year

Iv heard they are good motors but some people have had issues with the connectors. But at the rrp can you go that wrong?? Interested in people's views also.

Bang for buck!!!

Motor ran great and had no issues with the connectors but big problem I had was that the mounting screw holes stripped really easily.

I've had 2 for a good while and regularly swap them out with other motors (same connectors fitted for ease) never stripped 1 hole, ran them both at what seemed like boiling point and still good

All sounds good, is there much difference in power/running temp between the original (no cooling holes in the can) and the MMM versions?

I'm sure there is but in tourers with matched Cells/ESC's/settings if anything my V3 was slightly quicker against an MMM but his was cool and mine was HOT after 5 mins

Do you all run with speed passion esc as well or is it just a good cheap motor???

TBH I want to link mine up with a 120A Trackstar Gen1 Turbo ESC in a 2WD buggy, has anyone done this?
