Broken Diff???

Hello all

have a question about my front diff. Just rebuilt it, but broke part LA200 (11) can be seen here http://www.oople.com/rc/manuals/zx5/...s/zx50028.html. (it is the plastic washer thing that holds the bolt) I have managed to do the nut up without this bit in place. My question is should this be ok or do i need to order this bit? Will the diff fall apart without it? Sorry if this is a stupid question :woot:

Do you mean the part that sits holds the nut and backs onto the spring, has little ears that slot into the outdrives, you get three in the LA200 packet, with the diff gears, always handy to have LA200 in case the gears strip, its usually the gears that get used up. who knows untill you run it, but I would replace it, if it is that part, pm me an address and I can pop one in the post.

Good point Edward.

Ten years ago / In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team.

I am here!;) It is better with this part but if it does break while in then it will be ok untill you want to adjust the dif. I broke one too and I just jammed something in to lock the nut up.

I think you mean LA200 (5) not 11. You can use a normal nut in its place if it breaks without any problems but you will need a very slim pair of pliers. Or get the part number for the Tamiya 501X diff as this is identical on the outside but you will have to slot a nut into it, or the alloy Kyosho one for the Pure ten.
