Old fool?
Hi guys. I want to start racing again after 15 years of absensce from this sport. And i´m kind of a anglofiliac so i wanna race a schumacher cat. Is that foolish? I´m kind of used to get outrunned :D so that´s no change from the 90´s. I plan to run stock races and all advices are welcome. Thanks Jimmy for a great forum.:)

stock only in touring cars these days dude, a lot has changed since then, and some hasn't changed much at all, just got faster.
|
Are you in the USA Twister ? In which case im sure you do have stock racing, but there is no off road stock racing widespead in the UK, its all modified (and lots of brushless).
|
Can't say I have ever driven one of the later CATs (3000 for instance) but they would be good cars still if you can get parts, I think schumacher probably still sell all the bits ?
but the TTech predator X10 is the only option if you want a UK off roader at the moment afaik. |
I´m from sweden and you are right, there isn´t any stock classes here. I think the X10 seems to be a bit fragile? And thats no good when i´m driving (lol). I will buy a Cat and a brushless system and then go and hunt some xx-fours.. Good racing gentlemen!

The X10 is not fragile, it is probably one of the strongest 4wd cars available at the moment.
Good luck getting bits for the Cat when you break it. :eh?: G |
Can't you get all the cat bits off the schumacher website?
I agree though, I gave my new X10 hell and broke nothing apart from the spur gear which was the old style. |
