Associated pinion on Durango diff gear?

Hi everybody!
I am using the Durango gear diff on a Cobra B42 (B44 transmission).
The Durango input pinion is press fitted onto the shaft, so removal is a bit of an issue.
Unfortunately now I have to replace the bearings..
I was thinking of replacing pinion and shaft with the B44.3 parts, I would say the AE pinion is compatible with the Durango gear, but I'm not sure.
Anyone to confirm?
Thanks!!!

Ok, nobody helping..
So I decided to try!
Just finished assembling the transmission, and the pinion gear is fitting perfectly!
Actually it is not exactly the same.. although the number of teeth is the same, the Associated pinion is slightly bigger than the Durango, so it requires different shimming.
Durango pinion on Durango diff: 2 shims per side of the diff.
Associated pinion on Durango diff: 4 shims opposite to the gear diff.
It feels perfectly smooth yet not loose.
Track test on Friday..

How did it go?

Would be interesting to use Durango parts in a B4...

It's going perfectly well!
I ran two races since then, no issues, transmission smooth and silent.

BTW it's in a B44 (or .1 or .2 or .3) transmission, not B4.

Thanks :) Good archival info

Do you find the 4wd model as much fun overall as any 2wd you've owned before? My brother and I were talking about this earlier to-day, he suggested it's quite a lot of complexity in quite a small 'form factor'

I must agree here.. 4wd are more expensive, tendentially more fragile and to me less fun to drive than 2wd..
