FORCC Christmas Team Event, 17th December 2008

Hi All,

Christmas is coming which means (far more importantly) so is the FORCC Christmas Team Event on December the 17th, 2008 .
The usual fare of munchies will be on offer  and good times will be had by all .

We try and start a little earlier for the Xmas doo so please try to be at the club early enough for a 7:45 start.

Please get you're name down on the list in the Kitchen if you're coming to it so we can sort out teams etc. prior to the event.

We're also still mulling over the format for this year so if you have any suggestions, please let us know.

Cheers,
Jon.

Somewhere in the rules it must say that I have to win and not Alan :D

Trust me Dave theres more chance of snow on christmas day than you beating me at the christmas meeting, remember who picks the teams.

a few years back you did a split endurance. not sure what you have done since but that was a real giggle for me. will have to get my name down for this one

The usual format is the combination of a team endurance race, a break for food and a round of points scoring races. Last year we had Tag team relay races which was a bit different.

The days of the xmas demolition derby are long gone unfortunately/thankfully (delete as required ;))

whatever it may be......will it involve cake?
ooooooo maybe a cake relay...or or or tie a cake to all the cars and the one with the most cake at the end wins ! or or or we could just eat the cake and i could shut up rambling and and..............ill get my coat. ahem!

raaccyyyyy lllaaddyyyy 26-11-2008 05:20 PM

I apologise in advance to anyone who's team i'm in!!!! Thought the demolition thing was perfect for me..

If you need any help with food, drinks etc let me know (thought i'd get that in before any comments about women/kitchens etc etc....!!!)

Jon..as founding member of the cake club i'm loving your new signature!
i'm gonna have to steal it and i think the rest of us should too!

Somewhere in the rules it states that your car Dave must contain at least one chicken nugget. :D

Still looking for ideas on the meeting format if anyone has any thoughts. Maybe something you've seen at another club?

Cheers,
Jon.

As I'm sure you are all aware, next Wednesday is the Christmas team meeting. Please arrive as early as possible so we can start as early as possible. As usual there will be food and soft drinks a plenty and we always like to see cars and drivers decked out in Baubles and Tinsel :woot:

The meeting will run roughly as follows:

7:30 Alan's annual sermon (Heckling in encouraged :p) + drivers briefing
7:45 Start of the 1 Hour Endurance Race
8:45 - 9:15 Chargin' time + Munchies + Prize draw & Raffle
9:15 1 Round of Tag Team Races

See you there,
Jon.
