Orca TX 17.5T
 

Hi Guys ,

do any of you know what the kv rating/ average max rpm range is for one of these swapped one out with my Turnigy Trackstar 17.5T , geared it the same but the Orca ran a little hotter?

try gearing some were around 4.2 as motor needs to rev

I ran a FDR of 4.44 if that helps

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the Replies.... I dropped the gear ratio as far as 4.5fdr and played about with the end bell timing etc. we run blinky so limited to gearing and endbell adjustment. the lotor was starting to get hot so after a play i went back to my Turnigy Trackstar 17.5T (£23 new).

the Trackstar was consistently 0.3-0.4s per lap quicker, less heat and better bottom end.... astonished at that as its 1 3rd of the price of the orca!!
