brushed motor cleaner
Hi,
Back in the day I used to clean brushed motors with aerosol motor cleaning spray, I think I used the trinity product. I'm wanting to run some of my old brushed motors again so I started looking for a similar product but can't find anything. I guess it was just electrical switch cleaner repackaged. So, what do people use these days and where can I buy it please? Thanks. |

Some brake cleaners may contain stuff that attacks the insulation around windings, so use with caution. |

I bow to your better judgement |
Contact cleaner is pretty much what most motor sprays are. Same thing as circuit board cleaner too.

Some contact cleaners can leave a sticky residue, however. When in doubt, test on another surface first, before spraying inside a motor. |
I use this on motors, bearings and round the house to remove sticky stuff
