Astroturf clubs which astroturf and where to buy?
 

Looking to get some astroturf for our club and would like feedback on what other clubs are using and where they got it from because some of the stuff i'm looking at is ridiculous prices?

On a side note to admins I don't really understand why my last post was deleted, it would have been courteous to let me know? I'm not posting a wanted request and other people have requested advice for similar advice fo clubs, just not regarding astroturf ori would have found my answer.

At Bury we use this stuff, give them a call and they maybe able to point you in the right direction.

You need a bit of luck really ..

I was part of the Mendip RC Raceway team that built the new off road track there.

After a bit of hunting with no real joy we were tipped off that a local collage was replacing their enormous hockey pitch/pitches with new stuff. The upshot of which was that as along as we got the stuff taken away, think it was around £200 for a big truck, which took 2 loads, with hi-ab then the astro was free.

As far as I can gather, all astro has to be recycled at a huge cost, so companies contracted to remove astro are often happy for peeps to come along and take it away, actually saves them money ...
