Harry Transponder repairs?
Does anyone know anyone who can repair Harry transponders? Mine has packed up, appears to be a broken wire in the insulation right at the point where the wires go into the transponder black sealer. I did ring BBK but they only offer a £10 discount on a new one and don't do repairs.

The mrt transponders are good though, I've got a pair. I'd still have a go at repairing the harry. carefully remove the resin with a knife or dremel and resolder wire. |
Mine did the same thing,I took mine to bits,a friend soldered some new wires on and I just got some big heat shrink and covered it,it's not brill but it works,
Wish I'd known about the trade in as I would have done that, If you do take it to bits, make sure you write the PT number down 👍 |
another +1 for mrt at least you can get repaired
amb not repairable that's why I sold and bought mrt and bought 1 from mrt direct through ebay and got them to put same number in the second one:thumbsup: |
MRT are selling the ptx 20 rc4 compatible reconditioned ( new case and new cable, basically brand new ) for £35 if you ring them with £2.50 postage

If it is just a broken wire it can be repaired, there are a few guides out there on tinterwebs.
