I got into bikes and subsequently, bike racing, in the early/mid '90s. It was the Fogarty era, he* didnt like Sheene, as Sheene blamed his dad for some racing incident years before, and as it was a bit before my time, wasn't bothered about learning much about him, However, after catching bits of him on various films and documentaries over the years, I must say, Sheene always comes across as a bit of a prick. Gives us Southerners a bad name.

Met John & sat in his mile m merc. He also recalled my dad sitting on a wall at the tt when he was a kid and kept coming over to see us. Really nice man.
