Maifield is doing this mod on his 22, worth it for the UK high grip tracks??

I've contemplated giving it a go, but chickened out drilling the holes when I lined up a 22-4 tower as a guide for the extra hole.

I think it might be a decent option on wet astro which seems to have pretty minimal grip and the dirt track at Norfolk Buggy Club.

I always thought leaning the shocks in on the tower made them feel softer and also improved side bite, two things which may not be great for when the grip comes up.

I've just fitted an anti roll bar which I belive will improve then rear even more

This is my understanding too. Moving the shock in will improve overall grip, increase body roll and make the suspension stiffer as the shock compresses. Moving out will result in the opposite. This mod probably works for the US low-bite tracks.

That said! I lean my shocks right in on my 22-4 in most conditions with the sway bar on - both front and rear. When the grip disappears (rain) assuming I have the correct tyres, I remove the sway bar as needed. I just found this works well on the 22-4 which seems to have loads of grip out of the box - too much in fact to a point of it being un-drivable. I know this is about the 22 but the same concepts apply.
