yeah gets its first run on a track tomorrow! took it out on the street to make sure it was running strain n all i can say is wow it handles nice! was the first 2wd ive been able to drift controlably! still its in prototype stages so will have to sort out a proper body n stuff but ill work out any flaws as i go:thumbsup: never know it could be the new schumacher 2wd.................. lol

I've been wanting to do something like this for a while but based off a Tamiya.

this style is nice for a 2wd buggy! i went for the belt drive option mainly because the power delivery is'nt quite as instant as you get with shaft or gears so in theory should be smoother:eh?: i got a chance to start pushing it yesterday and its pretty quick on low grip being only a second down on my best time with my pred:o it jumps very consistent and level n the steeing is very sensitive so took some getting used to. i still think theres a few bits to tweak and mess about with before im really happy but still for something i threw together in just over 2 days its really nice to drive. cant wait to get it on an astro track cos then this things gonna be like a missile:thumbsup:

That looks great!

I've got a box full of buggy bits (old cobra and madcap top force stuff etc) I might have a go at making my own buggy..

rowanp25 14-12-2008 05:21 PM

top force rear with a madcap front could be quite funky! only prob i could see is a lack of slipper clutch........... and difficulty to get parts. i heard the cobra was pretty quick so maybe that transmission with a bit more reliable chassis?
