diff bolt keeps breaking???

I have a b44.2.all been well but had a slipping diff on Friday.tightend up the centre bolt then slacked off the recommended amount.then with a twist of the wheels ."snap". the bolt broke.so ok stripped it down and then rebuilt and again set the tightness and again a slight twist of the wheels and snap.the bolt again snapped.why??

Hi,

Something to check:

You have the diff / t-nut in the correct outdrive. It will fit in both, so check manual, that you have it in the correct one.

Is the drive shaft hitting the diff / t-nut when the suspension is compressed?

Sounds like either initial overtightening, or a jammed thrust race.

Give me a shout later Simon, bring it down if you need.
