BX Lipo weights & new shell.

Its a bit quiet on the BX front, nice to see the B-Max coming through and being run.

Been running with the Trakpower 3200's a few times and I love them. I re shrank them white ! and stuck some tungsten weights to them, these hold the cells in place and add a bit of ballast.

Also got a new shell painted by Airhead Graphics which I am very pleased with. Its the BX worlds flyer paint job but in a different coulour scheme.

Many thanks.

Sure I recognize that shell from Bury, I was the guy behind you with the Bmax?

Shell looks ace, just as good in the flesh!! Very tidy car too, I did very similar work to my Bx for fitting the Lipo's!

Not given up on my Bx, love the car, will be running the Bmax next time I race (Worksop) but will be back running the Bx for any racing I do in December!

Hi Dave, your right it was me at Bury ! cheers ! B Max looked good.

Traffman, I got the details from the painters directory that someone set up on here (linked below), great idea.

Sweet ride!

Where do you get the tungsten from? Is it much heavier than led? Easy to cut?

Jonathan 20-11-2008 08:16 PM

Cheers Shy.

Tungsten is 69% heavier than lead for the same volume ! A friend machined them as a favour, its pretty tough stuff !

I have now added one more weight the same size as the cell slot ones along the middle of the cells. This stops the cells moving towards the belt and brings the weight just above minimum limit of 1588g at 1594g.

Cool!

Do you think he would be interested in making more & selling them?

Jonathan 21-11-2008 10:50 AM

I will ask him if he is interested and see what sort of price it would work out at.

Excellent!
