shock and diff oils ( whats the best on the market )
 

Hi guys,

just a quick question as to what make of shock oils do you find the best and why?

ive been running the sworkz oil but ive had a problem with the wrong oils in the wrong bottles

ive been using them on 8th rallycross but now the indoor's is kicking off soon i thought i would ask the question as to what you guys think

I use the Core oil. It seems pretty consistent and is good value for money. It is also available from most if not all shops.

Losi oil is great because of the colours; makes it easy to note down whats inside if you forget!

i used to use losi oils years ago then our shop stopped selling it and started selling sworkz,

sworkz are CST oils, i liked CST but the oils in the wrong bottle is a bit of a pain, granted it didnt happen all the time but once is £4 in the bin :cry:

its always nice to see what others think and have their input :thumbsup:

I have always used Losi/TLR. Only other brand I have used is Kyosho but that is because it came with the Kyosho kits.

Dont think it really matters, just buy all the same brand

Simple answer, as Ritchie says, is ALWAYS buy the same brand.

More over than that CST is the correct engineering "standard" for measuring oils and is a linear scale where as WT is an arbitrary scale, not always linear and different brand to brand.

With that in mind I will ONLY use CST graded oils now.

Which do I use? Kyosho or Core RC, both seem very close if not identical and more importantly bottle to bottle both are very consistent.

I've bought the core rc now hopping to see it today, just waiting on diff bearings so I can start building the diffs etc
