Hauler Bag

what hauler bag would you recommend , mainly for touring cars and 1/10 buggies.... not a tart so best value /price is my main concern. (links to some would be great too ;-) )

I've started used a suit case. Mines a smallish on and fits 1 buggy, tool box, controller and case, 5 sets of wheels and tires and most other bits. Its on wheels so transporting it is easy and you can pick them up for around £20 compared to £50+ for an rc one with a logo on it.

Don't whatever you do get a Fastrax Mega Hauler. It's a big useless pile of poo

I wouldn't touch another hauler with a barge pole. A black&decker toolbox on wheels from b&q is a far better bet. It's more robust, rolls better and gets all tools! chargers & tyres/spares etc.m in and is more than 50% cheaper than most hauler bags.

I agree with Neal to a point.

I have had a Fastrax Mega hauler since we started racing and believe me it is Overloaded and bursting at the seems in every draw BUT it still feels solid to roll around, none of the zips have gone wrong etc.

This is the part that I agree with Neal, I liked the look of the NEW Fastrax hauler so I bought one (BIG MISTAKE) yes it looks nicer than my older one but it is 80% lesser quality than the old one, the zips feel as if they will break each time you pull them, the material itself is thinner, the handle flexes when used to pull the hauler. As Neal said the newer ones are cheap trash.
I still have the hauler that I swapped from old to new type and I will be going back to the older one.

HPI hauler quality is great but yes as also said in this thread I have seen loads of people using the B&Q roller boxes, which have also seen some people use them as their pit chair but not sure how comfortable that may be .LOL

It's all down to what you feel s adequate and your budget. But please stay away from the newer fastrax.

Has any one got a hudy one? What do u think of it?

chris68nufc 15-09-2014 06:55 PM

Back to the poly butler I think.....I've had the Team Magic Hauler for a few years and it has fell to bits. For the price I paid it's shocking tbh!! I need something new aswell however the Hudy ones are supposed to be mega pricy??
