New Club Starting in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

From Mid October I will be running a club for Losi 1/24 scale cars in the new Community Room at Tesco's in Huntingdon. The track is a Kyosho Circuit 50 setup.

Current plans are for the club to run from 12.30-2.30 on Saturdays (setup at 12 and pack up at 2.30 - This could go for longer though)

I will be providing 10 arrive and drive cars from my Party Business. These can be used in several heats and is aimed at people wanting to try racing out and also those who cant afford their own car

Drivers wanting more speed and grip can race their own cars. A 2.4ghz Brushless Losi Micro Rally or Short course truck costs about £100.

Initially I'm going to limit batteries in this class to the stock battery or a 1s 3.7v lipo (these cost £1.70 each from hobbyking with the losi connector already fitted). with a 2s 7.4v lipo these cars do 25mph and when I've been testing my car anything more than 60% throttle is a waste of time.

I will provide transponders (the 2.4 ghz losi cars have an extra plug on them ready for this so easy to fit).

I'm hoping to introduce a Super Low Cost (in RC terms) way into the sport with cars that are good fun and very reliable.

To give you an idea of the sort of track we'll be using and speed of the cars here is a video of and event I did recently with the arrive and drive cars. http://youtu.be/LM6PHYzuLNs

Here is a video of my test car for this club using a 1s lipo and a stock car body available from the USA.

You don't need to own a car as I provide them. We will be racing from 12.30-2.30pm.

As the club grows people who want more power and grip can buy their own cars to race in a 'Pro' class. I will also look at running on a weekday evening if there is interest.
