Li Po in B max 4?

Hi Guys, this will be a hot topic as Li po are now more common place, been covered in another thread but thought id start a official one.

DaveG28 has used BX battery posts to get li po in his B max, any part numbers/pics would be great...

I have ordered Pred X11 battery posts/straps to try in my B max, i thought the thin carbon strap will give you good access to the battery connectors.

Feel free to post pics etc of what you have used to get li po saddles into the B max.....

Don't stir Northy!

The posts are BX118M, not sure about straps as I had spares.

Not sure it matters but I also dremelled the holes larger on the carbon straps and filed down one end too, this was so they don't tension the posts and still leave the rear bulkhead room to flex, I wanted it to replicate the base kit as much as possible! Will try some pics later!

Sadly, Northy is right though!

Thanks for the part numbers DaveG28, yes pics will be nice!

Id like to keep it all Yokomo but giving the pred ones a go anyway!

Yes I know Northy is right!

The insulatio tape is because I have put lead in the holes for cells. I have used insulation tape above and below to hold it in!

Hopefully you can just see how I've slightly changed the profile of the carbon strap on the left side (to go to the rear of the car).

Also, I included the trakpower link wire for the 2 cells, as I am pretty sure it will noly fit if you solder to connectors horizontal like that, I don't think there's body clearance for vertical!

Wow, it fits really good! without any modification!

You need only the battery post and straps from the BX.

Its great isn't it, still leaves it looking nice and tidy!?

Yes it looks trick! If put Pred X11 posts and straps on my car, but I may order yokomo ones to keep it all yokomo.

I was thinking with the amount of chassis flex will it break the Ali posts on a big landing\crash?

If I understand how you mean, I don't think so, you mean if you do as I have and file away the carbon strap a bit? Done that way I can't see them breaking, as it removes the batteries completely from the core strength of the chassis (I think, someone let me know if I am talking bo**ocks??).

I can't see them breaking anyway though, the chassis is VERY soft, have you seen what it does when you use full lock on the servo?
