It's the first time I've visited the track since the changes and it's a massive improvement

Thanks again for a fab day  I will be sure to return! And if others read this I urge you to pay a visit!

Oh.. Highlight of the day was the ice bucket on Gav  nice one Chris

Really good day, ran smooth, beat our time schedule, marshals were mostly out on time, no major complaints.

Total monies raised was £1125, the butty man donated £30, two non racers donated as well (Pete byrom, Stu woods mum) and we will try and get the 'NO SHOWS' who booked in and didn't turn up, to donate too as really they could have taken someones space as 2wd was fully booked (You know who you are and we will be in touch :p)

Great day today, credit to all.
I had a busy day running 2 classes and race control, but it was made easy because everybody turned out to marshal promptly, there were very few driver complaints and aside from a few issues with certain transponders no technical problems. This is how a meeting should go!

And a the ice bucket was so funny I nearly missed my final because I forgot I was on!

I'm glad I entertained all.... After about ten mins it was quite refreshing if I'm honest!
High quality racers though out the field hope it gets bigger and better every year. This track will only get better with time and more changes to come.
Most enjoyable day.

To all on the committee.

Great day today gents.
I would like to say a public thank you for all my committee members. We should all be very proud of our efforts over the last 18 month or so, and more recently the hard graft put in to enable us to put on such a quality meeting for so many today. The smoothness of the meeting and the few problems on the day, is testimony to how we are collectively taking over the baton here at Bury Metro, with the vision to return it back towards the national club it once was. The club members also showed today how well we work as a friendly team.

What is evident is that the 6 of us are continuing what 1 man alone did for so long. Yes we are making progress at the club, but the effort and time we are putting in, only shows how much Roger actually did, much of which went unnoticed.

After only 4hrs sleep last night and a very long day, tonight, I'm recounting the days events with a couple of beers in memory of the true Mr Bury Metro, Mr Roger Wood. :)
Thank you for the sunshine today pal. 😃 I'm sure your looking down with a smile. ;)

Darren

Well done to all who ran the meeting not been to Bury for a lot of years good days racing great track and well organised

Now i thought the rostrum was a little to close to the track it was hard to see either the start of the straight or the end of the straight depending on where you were stood (just my opinion don't bite my head off) and probably not a lot you can do about it to be honest and another thing what your all well aware of is the rostrum floor ! other than that great venue

Thanks for a good days racing hopefully won't leave it as long before returning to race there :)

Thanks for your feedback Paul, yes we're well aware about the two points you've brought up and hopefully it won't be too long until we have those sorted, otherwise I'm glad you enjoyed it

In-light of the sad news at Manchester Dog's home we have decided to split last weekends charity raising funds 50/50 between Manchester Dogs home and the original cause the Dogs trust. We have donated through the MEN Just giving page this afternoon. Fingers crossed for the Dogs that got hurt.
